Privacy policy
This page explains what personal data Chainwide collects through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Who we are
This website is run by registered legal name("Chainwide", "we", "us"). Chainwide helps direct-to-consumer brands get onto retail shelves.
We are responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach us at contact email.
What we collect
- When you book a call. The booking form is provided by Calendly. It collects your name, email address, the time you pick, and any answers you give to the booking questions (for example your brand and what you want to discuss).
- When you email us. Your email address, name, and whatever you choose to write, including attachments.
- When you visit the site. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver and secure the site. We do not use these to identify you.
What we don't do
- We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this site.
- We don't set cookies. The Calendly booking widget, if you use it, may set its own cookies; see Calendly's policy below.
- We don't sell your data or share it for anyone else's marketing.
Why we use it
- To arrange and hold the call you booked.
- To prepare for that call, for example by looking at your brand's category.
- To reply to you and follow up on what we discussed.
- To keep the website running and secure.
Legal basis
Where data protection law asks for a legal basis (for example the UK or EU GDPR), we rely on:
- Steps before a contract, when you book a call to explore working with us.
- Legitimate interests, for replying to your emails, following up on a conversation you started, and keeping the site secure. We only do this in ways you would reasonably expect.
This policy is written with the law of governing jurisdiction in mind.
Who else handles it
- Calendly runs the booking form and stores the booking. Calendly privacy notice.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts this website and keeps its technical logs. AWS privacy notice.
- Our email provider stores the emails we send and receive.
Some of these providers may store data outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on the provider's own safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep it
- Bookings and emails: for as long as we are talking, then up to 24 months after our last contact, unless we start working together.
- If we work together, we keep records for as long as the engagement and any legal record-keeping duties require.
- Hosting logs: for the provider's standard retention period.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct it if it's wrong;
- delete it;
- stop or limit how we use it, or object to it;
- move it to another service, where that applies.
Email us to do any of these. We'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection regulator.
